Get There Greener 2024

Go Coast’s Get There Greener challenge is an annual event that encourages WMPO Area residents to move sustainably during the month of October! Traffic congestion is a major cause of air pollution and much of our stress. We challenge you to use an SOV (single-occupancy vehicle) as little as possible and instead utilize alternative transportation like biking, walking, carpool, transit, and telecommuting. Participants can win prizes like gift cards to local businesses.

How to Participate
1. Sign up to participate – submit your email on this interest form, and we’ll email you when the challenge starts and send reminders to track your trips.
2. When the event is active, each time you use anything other than a single-occupancy vehicle to get around between October 1 and 31. Participants can track every time they use the following modes:
- Carpooling
- Public transportation
- Bicycling
- Walking
- Telecommuting
