36th Annual River to Sea Bike Ride

This year’s bike ride has been cancelled due to inclement weather. There is not a rain date for this ride. See y’all in 2027!
The 36th Annual River To Sea Bike Ride is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026! (Canceled as of 5/1/26)
This event is a 20-mile bike ride along the historic route of the Wilmington Beach Car Line. All age groups and experience levels of cyclists participate in this ride but must be able to ride 20 miles at a casual pace. Helmets are required and cyclists should give their bicycle a thorough safety inspection prior to the event.

Participant Info
Online pre-registration has now ended. Day-of registration will be available for $5, cash only. Don’t forget to follow Go Coast for updates on Facebook and Instagram!
Merch will be available for purchase. There will be River to Sea Bike Ride-branded socks ($12), water bottles ($10), and stickers ($5)! Merch will be sold at the Expo (see below) and day-of the ride, cash or card payment accepted.
Event Timeline:
- Check in / day-of registration: 6:15-6:55am
- Ride announcements: 6:55am
- Ride departs: 7am
- Ride arrives at Wrightsville Beach Park: ~8:15am
- 15-20 minute break at Wrightsville Beach Park
- Ride leaves Wrightsville Beach Park: ~8:30-8:35am
- Ride arrives back in downtown Wilmington: ~10am

River to Sea Bike Ride Expo
New this year: The River to Sea Bike Ride Expo will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Empie Park from 3-7pm. Ride participants will be able to attend for free bike checks, to register and get more info about the ride, purchase merch items, and hang out with local bicyclists and organizations who support them!
