Helmets are required and cyclists should give their bicycle a thorough safety inspection prior to the event. Review bicyclist hand signals so you can use them during the ride when turning, slowing, or stopping.

  • Helmets are required!
  • Check-in is from 6:15 am to 6:55 am at the intersection of Princess Street and Second Street in downtown Wilmington.
  • Bathrooms downtown will be limited as most businesses will not be open yet, so it is advisable to go before you arrive. There will be port-a-johns at the stopping point in Wrightsville Beach.
  • Cyclists will depart at 7:00 am from downtown and arrive at Wrightsville Beach Park close to 8:15am. There is a 15-20 minute break at Wrightsville Beach Park, where bananas and waters will be available, before beginning the second half of the ride back downtown.
