Go Coast FY25 Quarter 4 Report

In FY25 Quarter 4 (April 2025 – June 2025), we were busy with a big bicycle focus! May is National Bike Month, and Go Coast observed this annual nation-wide celebration of bicycling with a challenge and encouraging proclamations to raise awareness about bicycle safety throughout the WMPO’s member jurisdictions. Shout out to the following communities who recognized May 2025 as Bike Month with a proclamation:
- WMPO Board
- Carolina Beach
- Kure Beach
- Wilmington
- New Hanover County
- Leland
- Navassa

- 35th Annual River to Sea Bike Ride – Saturday, May 3, 2025
- Tune Up & Tunes at Special Pedals – Saturday, May 17, 2025
- Summer Safety Bash at Boys & Girls Club – Friday, May 23, 2025
Work continues on the WMPO’s Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP), Cape Fear Navigating Change 2050. This broad-reaching, widely encompassing plan includes a detailed work plan for Go Coast spanning 2026-2030.
