Go Coast FY26 Quarter 1 Report

In FY26 Quarter 1 (July 2025 – September 2025), we were hard at work finalizing the WMPO’s Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP), Cape Fear Navigating Change 2050! The MTP, which was adopted on October 29, 2025, contains the Go Coast program’s short-range plan update in Appendix L. This update plans for TDM activities from 2026 through 2030. Highlights of outreach from this quarter include:
- Be a Looker! Staff attended 8 outreach events so far
- Distributing many children’s bicycle helmets received from NCDOT’s Bicycle Helmet Initiative
- Safe Streets for All outreach to improve roadway safety for all modes of transportation within the Wilmington urban area
